Explorers introduces children to the wilderness through hands-on
fun and adventurous activities. Each session will include a
variety of crafts, games, stories and adventures, as well as its
own theme for the week. Children will choose from activities
such as animal tracking & camouflage games, beads & bones craft,
collecting pouches, camp journals, fire-building,
shelter-building, wilderness cuisine and gardening, and more.

TREASURERS

Learn to become aware and spot tracks and animal signs of all
kinds from fox, beaver, horse, coyote, skunk, chipmunk, spotted
salamander, or owl. And then…take part in a treasure hunt which
will test your skills!

July 21st – 25th WATER WORLDS
How
many creatures do you know of that live in a pond? Or a
stream? Learn about the world which exists in our water sources
through exploration and study as you re-create an aquarium model
for creatures which inhabit the waters of Hammond Hill.
BE3:
August 4th – 8th FOREST EXPLORER
Explore the forests of Hammond Hill, and discover what only the
forest animals know. Find out where they sleep, eat, play,
hunt, and die. Learn the secret language, which most humans have
forgotten, that connects us to the animals and plants.

BERRY ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE
It’s
Berry Season at Hammond
Hill. Come prepared to have lots of fun with crafts, games,
outdoor skills and of course picking and preparing an assortment
of goodies with berries.
